| The Mission of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) comes from Micah 6: 8. "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Jimmy Hutcherson is the Pastor for FCC and welcomes all of you with open arms to our church, along with the rest of the Ministerial Team, staff, and all volunteers and members. Pastor Jimmy writes: "Our church has been on this site for over 100 years, and has continued uniting God's sons and daughters in communion ever since. We are an "open and affirming" congregation, which means: We do not stand in judgment of, but in service to, others. As we celebrate God's love through Jesus, our mission is to extend love and grace to all of His people. Please feel welcome to any of our services or activities whenever possible; you will always be welcomed with unconditional love and accepted for who you are. First Christian Church is indeed a small church, we do however enjoy reaching out to our community of Makiki and beyond. We are committed to reaching out to one family or one individual at a time, to share His bountiful gifts, and be of service as He calls us to do. We have enjoyed learning of God's word to Haggai and how it is still encouraging us not to give up in ministry. We realize that God's plan for this church, which began over 100 years ago, is still being fulfilled. He now relies on us in continuing and enlarging the work He began.
